Amicalola Falls
My Wife and I at the top of Amicalola Falls

From a young age, I have enjoyed the outdoors and the adventures the natural world brings.  My brother and I ran rampant through the fields and forests of North Carolina.  We hunted, fished, camped, hiked, and explored as often as we could.  I learned to love and respect nature and our natural environment.  Boy Scouts was an important part of my life too.  I earned my Eagle Scout as a youth and served as Scoutmaster for three different troops for over twelve years.  I am currently a chemistry technician at a nuclear power plant.  With my family, I camp, backpack, and enjoy other outdoor activities as often as time permits.  From the mountains of North Carolina to the hills of southern Mexico, I have had the opportunity to hike many trails over the years.  My goal, and that of my family, is to share tidbits of what we’ve learned to help others who are exploring the outdoors.  No matter your age, whether you are camping or backpacking, nature watching or learning wilderness survival skills, we hope you enjoy the adventure.
